Frequently asked questions about tax returns

In order to complete your tax return, we will need the following documents:
  • Salary slips
  • Accounting documents (if you are a sole proprietorship)
  • Bank and securities statements
  • Certification of pensions received
  • Certificates of contribution to the 3rd pillar
  • Proof of training costs
  • Medical and professional expenses
  • For owners: all documents relating to property taxes and charges on the property (issued by the Land Registry)

The 30-day deadline for filing your tax return with theTax Administration is to be respected. The declaration must be filed by December 31.

However, in case of need and under certain conditions, you can obtain a delay until April 30, for which you will have to indicate your taxpayer number.

After the filing deadline, you will have to pay a fee to the Cantonal Tax Administration.

Married or civil union spouses must file a joint tax return. The income of the spouses will be added together and taxed jointly.
